Japanese tradition is all over the place in Japan from modern times to the era when the emperor use to rule Making tea, getting married and praying to the gods are all Japanese tradition that is rarely seen due the time that one has to put in in order make it perfect. But one traditional that is seen and is done every day is bowing.

This tradition is has been carried among the Japaneses for many years. It is a sign of respect towards one another as well those hold high ranks. Those who are or have lower status will bow more lower than those of a higher status. Also those who have lower status will tend to those of higher status need more so their own. This is usually done among co-workers.

Not only is this done in the business world, but all over the places in japan especially in schools. Students would bow to their teacher (sensei) when he enters the room to show respect.
